This page
from [PRONI ref. VAL/1/B/54A-C] shows 4 houses that were recorded
in Cullyramer [Parish of Desertoghill] on the 5th November 1832
that were thought to of a high enough valuation to be possibly
included. In fact the criterion of more than £3 per annum was
subsequently applied and only two of the houses were included
- the original numbers 1 and 3. Note, however, that their numbers
were amended in red and it is these amended red number 1 and
2 numbers correspond to numbers on the accompanying valuation
map. Actually the map that I have used is really a copy
of the first edition of the Ordnance Survey Map c.1833.
Details
are given of the age, condition and dimensions of each house
listed. This information is in the form of a code. For more
details on the code used by the valuers -
read this. Note that it is relatively easy to match these
houses up with those shown on the 1859 valuation map.
